ROGER FRAY

BUYER RELATIONS MANAGER

ADEL, IA

Through our RPM Program, we work with over 400 grain buyers across the Midwest on behalf of our customers and Roger’s primary role is to nurture those relationships. He also assists our AgWest Cash Advisors with basis futures carry decisions and manages our Buyer Relations Team, helping to prioritize and execute sales targets.

He has almost 37 years of grain industry experience, progressively gaining responsibility for producer marketing, merchandising, soy processing, operations, capital investment and trading leadership with cooperatives in Ohio, Missouri, and Iowa. Prior to coming to AgWest, he led merchandising, hedging, and producer marketing for a company handling 185 million bushels of volume with truck and multiple rail line access and associated arbitrage opportunities. Roger has held a NFA Series 3 license since 1986, and served the industry in various roles with the National Grain and Feed Association, US Surface Transportation Board, and Transportation, Elevator, and Grain Merchants Association.

He grew up on a farm in Missouri, attended South Dakota State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from University of Missouri. His experience managing relationships with regional and global end users, while representing thousands of producers throughout the Midwest, gives him a strong ability to support and serve the AgWest team and customers.

Roger and his wife Susan reside in Clive, Iowa but are often on the road to see their children and grandchildren across the Midwest or in Belgium. In his spare time, he volunteers at his church, TEGMA organization and loves to hunt. Roger can turn a stranger into a friend in minutes and his infectious attitude elevates our entire AgWest family!
