AgWest Commodities LLC recognizes the importance of Crop Insurance in conjunction with your marketing plan. Revenue crop insurance provides a foundation from which effective marketing plans can be developed. Together, crop insurance and agricultural production marketing intertwine to form a complete risk management package.
AgWest's expertise is in agricultural production marketing and not the crop insurance business. We have declined several offers to represent insurance products because we feel that agricultural production marketing deserves our full attention in order to provide the highest level of service to our customers.
Because of the importance of a solid insurance program in producers overall success of consistent marketing of their products, in 2002 AgWest Commodities LLC rolled out our Preferred Provider initiative. Through this program we have worked hard to locate and form alliances with the best crop insurance agencies available. Our participating agents are experts in the complex crop insurance business, and have come to us through recommendations. We view them as being the leaders in their industry.
A prerequisite of participating crop insurance agents is that they have some understanding of how important it is to couple revenue crop insurance with a solid marketing game plan. These alliances provide our customers with experts in both areas to form a complete risk management package. This complete package has several benefits for you:
- Provides broad based protection of both yield and price.
- Allows lenders a higher comfort level for the leveraged operations.
- Removes much of the individual and family stress involved with production agriculture.
